Climate change will likely be the most significant global health threat of the 21st century. As global temperatures rise, communities worldwide face health risks from extreme heat and storms, shifting disease patterns and potentially catastrophic threats to food and water security. Health leaders are beginning to consider what they can do to minimize the health impacts of climate change. However, in many countries, the health sector does not have the information and tools it needs to respond to these new challenges effectively.
