Amount: up to $1000
Funds are available to assist IGHS Affiliates and Global Affiliates with 1. attending and presenting work at meetings of learned societies & organized conferences; or 2. Activities that strengthen partnerships with UCSF or non-UCSF collaborators.
Awards will be advertised twice per year (Fall & Spring), awarded on an ongoing basis*, and paid as reimbursement for travel expenses up to $1000. Funds that are to be transferred to non-UCSF entities must be managed by the Affiliates home department. Up to 6 awards will be funded per year.
- Must be an IGHS Affiliate or Global Affiliate
- For travel: Conference or meeting must be related to scholarly global health work; apply at least four weeks prior to travel
- Applicant may receive no more than one IGHS Award in any 12-month period
Awards can be used for conference fees, airfare and/or lodging. Funds can be used for speaker stipends, teleconference support and meeting hosting expenses. Funds must be used for purchases done in accordance with UCSF expenses policies.
*Awardees should be prepared to provide documentation of invitation or acceptance
*Applications will be reviewed quarterly and awarded by the AP Executive Committee
