Sumeet Patil, PhD

Sumeet Patil is the CEO and Founding Research Director of NEERMAN, a non-profit research firm specializing in impact evaluations and policy research across sectors such as water and sanitation, agriculture, energy, and disaster management. He has led projects for organizations including the World Bank, World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Patil’s expertise encompasses economic and policy research, probabilistic health risk assessments, and developing emergency preparedness policies. He holds two master’s degrees in environmental economics and environmental engineering from North Carolina State University and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley.
