Eric Goosby is a professor of medicine at UC San Francisco (UCSF) and a global leader in infectious diseases and health policy. He previously served as U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator under President Obama, directing PEPFAR to expand lifesaving HIV treatment worldwide. A former U.N. special envoy on tuberculosis and founding director of the Ryan White CARE Act, Goosby continues to advance global health delivery and equity through his work at the UCSF Institute for Global Health Sciences. He also mentors the next generation of global health leaders and advises international agencies on health systems strengthening and sustainable disease response.
