Speaker: Sujatha Sankaran, MD
Sujatha has a career interest on the intersection between health equity, health care leadership, and high-quality care, and in 2023, she completed the California Health Care Foundation leadership fellowship. In 2023, she also graduated from the UCSF Health Learning Health System Coach Program. From 2022-2024, she was the Chief Medical Officer of one the UCSF-affiliated hospitals, Sonoma Valley Hospital, where she improved access to subspecialty care, building a geriatric program, supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion work, and bolstering the linkages between UCSF Health and Sonoma Valley Hospital. In July 2025, she became the Director of the MSc program in Global Health Sciences, where she is focusing on expanding the curriculum to include innovative new coursework, developing new mechanisms for partnerships with undergraduate campuses for recruitment of a diverse student body, and teaching in the program.
