Join us for an in-person conversation with David Kateete, current dean of the School of Biomedical Sciences at Makerere University, Uganda, which a long history of collaboration with IGHS.
David Patrick Kateete, PhD, MSc, is a senior lecturer in the Department of Immunology and Molecular Biology at the College of Health Sciences at Makerere University, and dean of the School of Biomedical Sciences. He has vast experience in molecular microbiology and medical parasitology, with exposure to various state-of-the-art research laboratories across borders. His research interests include infection/pathogen biology, antimicrobial resistance mechanisms and molecular diagnostics. He completed his bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine and holds a master’s degree in molecular biology from Makerere University. In 2005, he was awarded a four-year Fogarty Scholarship for doctoral studies.
