IGHS is launching a new course for faculty, staff, and students: Fundamentals of Global Health Quality Improvement.
This course was previously offered as an elective for the IGHS Master’s students and is now being offered to staff and faculty as well. This course is also open to anyone outside of UCSF.
Course dates: January 11 through March 15, 2027
More about the course
- Eight weeks long with one weekly asynchronous lecture, and 1-2 hours of synchronous discussion and project groups (time commitment: 2-3 hours/week)
- Students can bring their own QI projects in to help develop them and work on them during the course
- Each project/discussion group will consist of 5 to 6 individuals and a experienced QI Mentor
- Topics include Lean thinking, A3 methodology, Patient Safety, Systems level QI, and Healthcare Value.
- Successful participants who complete the course will receive QI certification from UCSF IGHS
