Minyahil Alebachew Woldu, PhD, MSc, BPharm 

Minyahil Alebachew Woldu, PhD, MSc, BPharm, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at Addis Ababa University, College of Health Sciences, where he has also served as Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator and Postgraduate Program Coordinator. He holds a PhD in Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (supported by a DAAD Scholarship), an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy from Jimma University, a BPharm from Mekelle University, and a Higher Diploma in Pedagogy from Addis Ababa University.  

Minyahil’s research focuses on infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, HIV, and the intersection of infectious and non-communicable diseases, with notable contributions on cardiometabolic complications in HIV patients. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, including studies on antimicrobial stewardship, cardiometabolic syndrome, and therapy optimization in chronic illnesses.  

He is an active member of international and national professional bodies such as the International AIDS Society, the Society for AIDS in Africa, and the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Association. He has served as a reviewer and editorial board member for leading journals, received the Best Oral Abstract Award at the 2023 Addis Ababa Research Week, and completed advanced trainings and fellowships, including the HIV Research for Cure Academy (2022).  

With extensive experience in teaching, mentorship, grant writing, and collaborative research, Minyahil continues to play a key role in strengthening pharmacy practice, health research, and capacity building in Ethiopia and globally.
