Donating blood is one of the easiest ways to give back to your community, and IGHS is hosting a drive with Vitalant right here at Mission Hall on May 22. To make an appointment, visit donors.vitalant.org and use drive code UCSF. All donors should review Blood Donor Qualifications before making an appointment.
Things to know:
- All Donors should review Blood Donor Qualifications prior to making an appointment.
- Donors should review height/weight requirements prior to scheduling an appointment.
- Donors should arrive well-nourished and hydrated.
- Donors need identification with full first and last name, and either a photo or DOB
- The donation process takes approximately one hour (add an additional 20 minutes for a Power Red donation)
- Power Red Donation – Power up your donation with an automated double red cell donation
- Fast Track – Donors can complete the health questionnaire online prior to arriving to the drive – visit vitalant.org and click the ‘Health History Questionnaire’ link. The questionnaire must be completed the same day as the donation.
