The Program Associate is a member of the MEI Operations Team who provides programmatic and administrative support to the MEI Team and its activities in the US, Europe, Africa and Asia. Responsibilities will include: setting up subcontracts, independent consultant agreements, amount-based purchase orders, vendor agreements; monitoring and tracking invoices and maintaining partner relationships; booking complex international travel; processing travel advances and expense reimbursements; and leading logistical arrangements for MEI local and international meetings and events. The MEI team, comprised of approximately 30 faculty and staff operates at a very fast pace, with multiple simultaneous projects occurring at all times and in many countries. The MEI Program Associate must, therefore, bring excellent time management, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, along with a “can-do” attitude. S/he must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, be flexible and able to adjust to new projects and priorities as they arise. This is a full time, fully grant-funded position through March 31, 2021, with the possibility of extension based on performance and receipt of funding, reporting to the MEI Associate Director.
