The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in partnership with the Institute for Global Health Sciences, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) invites applications for a full-time ladder rank faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor rank.
The successful candidate will conduct epidemiologic, population-based, policy, and/or clinical research funded by extramural sources and be committed to regular and ongoing teaching. Candidates must have current or recently awarded extramural funding for research in areas of interest and the ability to provide supplemental funding of own salary through extramural and other self-generated funding. In addition, the candidate will be well positioned to launch a new program on pandemic preparedness within IGHS and across UCSF. There are also opportunities for leadership within the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
Qualifications: Doctorate in medicine, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, global health or a closely related field. Candidates must have a record of excellence and accomplishment in original research in population-based or clinical epidemiology and extramural funding for research in areas of interest. Preference will be given to candidates with areas of research compatible with current departmental and IGHS programs and who have a demonstrated a track record in transitioning to independent research and associated research funding.
