Monika Roy: HIV care service delivery in sub-Saharan Africa

8-9am

ZSFG Hospital: Contact organizer for access

Dr. Monika Roy is an assistant professor in the Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases, and Global Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). Her research focuses on the application of implementation science methodology to advance effective, efficient, and sustainable treatment of chronic diseases in resource-limited settings. Her research currently centers around evaluation of community-based HIV care and treatment strategies in sub-Saharan Africa and the translation of lessons learned in the global HIV response to the treatment of non-communicable diseases such as hypertension.

The  Young Investigators’ Conference (YIC) in International Research began as a forum for junior investigators (fellows and faculty) to discuss research that they conduct in international settings.  The topics for discussion are meant to be driven by the needs of the researcher.  Each YIC will be assigned to a junior investigator, rather than a specific topic. Senior investigators with significant experience working in international health research attend as well, to provide advice and feedback in an informal, small group setting. Because unpublished research is discussed, the conference does not allow remote access, and may decide to limit participation. Feel free to reach out to the organizer if you'd ike to attend.
