Dr. Tenner will discuss her role with the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Emergency and Trauma Care.
Dr. Andrea (Andi) Tenner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Affiliate Faculty for the Institute for Global Health Sciences at UCSF. She also serves as Co-Director of the UCSF PAHO/WHO Collaborating Centre for Emergency and Trauma Care. The Collaborating Centre is tasked with developing and evaluating the Emergency Care Systems (ECS) Toolkit aimed at helping low-resource countries develop their emergency care systems. She was one of the editors for the WHO Basic Emergency Care Course and has contributed to many of the tools in the ECS Toolkit. She has dedicated her career to building resilient health systems and improving access to quality emergency care for patients in low-resource settings.
