Join us for this live feed from Carr Auditorium of the inaugural CFAR Seminar Series. This session will feature Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the NIAID/NIH speaking on "Ending the HIV Pandemic: From Science to Implementation.." 

Dr. Fauci will speak from 9:00-9:45am, followed by short talks by early stage investigators with a planned end time of 10:30am.

Appointed Director of NIAID in 1984, Dr. Fauci oversees an extensive research portfolio to prevent, diagnose, and treat infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, respiratory infections, diarrheal diseases, tuberculosis and malaria as well as emerging diseases such as Ebola and Zika. 

Dr. Fauci has advised five Presidents on HIV/AIDS and many other domestic and global health issues. He is one of the principal architects of the President's Emergency Paln for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the recently announced End the HIV Epidemic initiative. Dr. Fauci will serve as the inaurural speaker for newly-launched UCSF CFAR seminar series to be held in Carr Auditorium.
