Our faculty has been chosen specifically to contribute to the strengthening of research capacity in HIV-related hematology and transfusion medicine in South Africa. The faculty from the three main collaborating institutions offer a breadth of research experience in HIV, hematology and transfusion medicine and expertise in specific clinical research areas.

Content-level experts in HIV disease, biostatistics and epidemiology, HIV hematologic malignancy, HIV genomics and viral discovery
Our trainee selection committee will match trainees with primary research mentors based upon their area of research interest, but will also provide secondary mentors with specific methodologic skills in epidemiology, clinical research and clinical trials design. Our excellent HIV researchers have strong histories of mentoring and will further our overall vision of developing transfusion medicine and hematology research capacity in South Africa.
