Working with local partners, we are leading collaborative research to further understand the opportunities and best practices in social franchising, as well as other private sector delivery mechanisms. Our work to support health systems strengthening takes on many components. We study and document novel approaches to improving private healthcare provision in developing countries. In the field, we conduct research on innovative models of care that engage the private sector and on national programs for private sector integration in both general healthcare and disease specific areas. We also look transnationally at trends and issues relating to private provision of care across low- and middle-income countries.
