UCSF Global Health Clinical Scholars Program (GHCSP)
2009 Call for Applications
The UCSF Global Health Sciences Clinical Scholars Program (GHCSP) was established in 2006 to respond to a demand for an educational track by clinical trainees interested in bridging the global health gap. It is a training track for UCSF graduate healthcare professionals who wish to formally incorporate global health into their professional careers. The program is the first in the nation to include graduate students or residents from different disciplines, and has expanded to include the schools of nursing and other health professional schools in the past year. All applicant decisions are made by the GHCSP Oversight Committee. We are committed to a program that embraces racial, ethnic, gender and disciplinary diversity, and we encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds and clinical disciplines. The application process begins 9 months before candidates seek entrance into the Program. Appointments are effective
Graduate Students or residents who meet the eligibility requirements should apply online. For questions, contact Vaishali Patel. You must have received agreement from your program director to email the program or write a letter on your behalf supporting your application. We also recommend that you have your personal statement and CV data prepared ahead of time and then copy and paste into the application form. Your application will include the following: I.
