Student Resources

Student Handbook

Essential program information for matriculated students:
Master of Science Student Handbook, 2016-17 academic year

Disability Services

The Student Disability Services office provides assistance for students in obtaining the services and accommodations they require to ensure equal access to all aspects of the UCSF experience.

Policy on Student Progress

The Policy on Student Progress addresses important criteria for satisfactory academic progress, student evaluation, and the process for remediation.

Academic Calendar

The UCSF Academic Calendar follows a quarter system. The GHS Master of Science Academic Calendar 2016-17 has a slightly adjusted schedule to allow for capstone project travel.

Financial Aid

Students may apply for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office.

Graduate Division

The Global Health Sciences education programs are offered by the UCSF Graduate Division and, unlike many other UCSF programs, are not administered by any of the UCSF schools. Students can find information on the Graduate Division website about housing and commuting, financial support, career planning, the Disclosure of Campus Security Policy (Clery Act), and much more.

Health & Counseling

Student Health & Counseling provides high-quality healthcare and wellness services.

International Students & Scholars

The International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) provides services that support the social, cultural, and immigration needs of the UCSF international community.

Students must register and file a study list (sign up for classes) through the Student Portal of the MyAccess System before each quarter begins. The Office of the Registrar provides registration procedures and deadlines.

Student Life

Student Life is an on-campus student resource that promotes ways to get connected, collaborates with student groups and departments, and offers support and guidance.
