Description: The Research Associate will support several active, interdisciplinary research projects in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa focusing on gender and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and/or WASH behavior change. Specific duties include designing/ organizing/ managing data collection, facilitating ethical review of research projects, communicating with and coordinating research partners, managing and analyzing data, and preparing manuscripts and project reports. The position requires international travel and does NOT require relocation to Oklahoma. Qualifications: Master's degree with at least two years of research experience; excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience and/or training in both qualitative and quantitative methods. A project with Technoserve (TNS) will deploy carefully-selected and trained teams of graduate students to study critical questions relating to entrepreneur acceleration in four Latin American countries. Two teams of 6 graduate students each (from various U.S. and Latin American universities) will help design and implement qualitative research protocols. This will involve research trips to two Central American countries (either Nicaragua/El Salvador or Guatemala/Honduras) for ~10 days in early August 2016 to conduct structured interviews with program and sector stakeholders.
