Evidence & Guideline Development
The Prevention and Public Health Group is an international center of excellence in evidence-based guideline development, particularly in regard to HIV/AIDS intervention research. As the editorial base of the Cochrane HIV/AIDS Group, we ensure that results of our reviews get into the hands of those who need them, e.g., policy makers deciding how best to allocate resources; public health agencies implementing prevention and care initiatives; clinicians offering treatments; and community-based organizations working to prevent disease transmission and offer care; as well as people infected and affected by the major health problems of the developing world. All of these groups need information delivered in highly specific ways. We are able to provide this to them.
